Always keeps your bathtub water clean

Measures Legionella bacteria

Legionella bacteria inhabit in natural environments in freshwater and soil of lakes, rivers, etc., but they also live in artificial water environments such as Jacuzzi bathtubs. The optimum temperature for the growth of bacteria is said to be between 20°C and 45°C. This is why regular hygiene management is necessary to prevent bacteria growth and colonization in hot bath facilities, etc.
We will introduce work done and a chemical used as countermeasures.

Measures Legionella bacteria

Piping cleaning work

We provide the service of performing piping cleaning work using hydrogen peroxide and chlorine dioxide. Hot bath facilities use disinfectants such as sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite, but normal chlorine disinfection cannot remove biofilms, which are breeding grounds for Legionella bacteria. The guidelines of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan also recommend that piping be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide once a year.
Please contact us also for night work at hot bath facilities that are open every day, or for emergency piping cleaning.

【※1】Putting an auxiliary agent, allows dirt that could not be removed with hydrogen peroxide to be lifted and removed.
【※2】After neutralization is confirmed, chlorine dioxide is added for thorough disinfection.

AQUARANGER (Chlorine dioxide generating agent)

Putting AQUARANGER regularly not only eliminates Legionella bacteria but also prevents the formation of biofilms, which are breeding grounds for Legionella bacteria. Unlike sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite, AQUARANGER penetrates biofilms and is effective against Legionella bacteria inhabiting inside them. AQUARANGER provides a high degree of convenience because all you have to do is to put it in after business hours. Also, the product is not poisonous or deleterious, making it easy to use. The agent is in powder form and thus dissolves easily.

Features

  1. Improved work efficiency due to excellent solubility
  2. Excellent penetration into biofilms due to high chlorine dioxide generation capacity
  3. Significant cost reduction achieved compared to conventional generators

How to use

  1. It is necessary to remove biofilms from the inside of the circulation piping and carry out disinfection approximately once a year.
  2. Once a year, put AQUARANGER in the bathtub (near the circulation inlet port in the bathtub) in an amount three times that specified according to the total amount of water (including the amount of water inside the bathtub and circulation piping).
  3. After the process above, put AQUARANGER in an amount specified according to the total amount of water every week or two.
  4. When the product is used for the first time, we recommend that the piping be cleaned with hydrogen peroxide before the countermeasure is implemented.
  5. Regulations regarding measures against Legionella bacteria may differ depending on the prefecture. Check with your local public health center.
