Shelf life

Regarding the shelf life of AdBlue® at temperatures of the conditions based on ISO 22241 or JIS K 2247-1 standards, storage for a long time at temperatures of 25°C or higher may shorten the period before the expiration date, and for storage in cold climates, to avoid freezing, storing the product at temperatures of -5°C or higher is acknowledged as preferable.

Precautions for handling of AdBlue®

  1. Handling precautions
    • This product is for exhaust gas treatment of diesel vehicles equipped with a urea SCR system. Never use it for any purpose other than this purpose.
    • Wear appropriate protective equipment (safety glasses, rubber gloves, etc.) as necessary.
    • This product may have a slight ammonia odor, but this is not a problem as ammonia is an active ingredient.
    • Do not mix with other chemicals.
    • Do not heat.
    • Do not dilute.
    • Use up immediately after opening.
    • We are not responsible for any issues caused by repurposing or disposing of containers or improperly disposing of empty containers, or for any trouble or damage that may occur after opening the container.
  2. First-aid measures
    • In case of contact with eyes or skin, immediately wash with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
  3. Precautions for storage
    • Store in a well-ventilated place at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
    • Store the container tightly closed.
  4. Fire-fighting measures
    • Although the product is nonflammable, it will decompose due to heat and produce harmful gases, so in the event of a fire, move the container to a safe location. Also, do not go downwind.
  5. Accidental release measures
    • Surround with sandbags, etc. to prevent spillage, and collect as much as possible.
  6. Transport information
    • Be sure to load containers so as to prevent them from tipping over, falling, and being damaged, ensuring that the cargo will not collapse, containers will not be damaged, and that there will be no leakage.
  7. Disposal considerations
    • Do not dispose of this product or its empty container in lakes, sea areas, rivers, etc.
    • To dispose of the product, entrust the disposal to an industrial waste disposal company licensed by the prefectural governor and ensure appropriate disposal.
