AdBlue®
AdBlue® is the name of a 32.5% urea solution for urea selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems for diesel engines. The manufacturing method and control method are specified in detail by standards including ISO and the product is positioned as a “high-quality urea solution”. Urea itself is safe and used in moisturizing creams, fertilizers, etc. AdBlue® is a colorless, transparent, odorless liquid and harmless.
Since AdBlue® is constantly injected into the exhaust gas while the engine is running, it is consumed like fuel and requires regular replenishment.
